Hi there

Thanks for being part of our Fall Cottage Life Show, October 26-28. We re looking forward to seeing you soon.

Here are the details for your participation in The Great Outdoors display and presentation area.

The presentation schedule is at the bottom of this email and attached. Please send me a quick "all ok" email to confirm you re good for the time, title, and your name/organization. Starting Monday, this info will roll out to our signage, show directory, website, and all promotions.

Show Hours
Friday, October 26    11:00am - 8:00pm
Saturday, October 27  9:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday, October 28  10:00am - 5:00pm

If you have a display, please ensure your display is staffed for all show hours. No tear down is to happen prior to 5:00pm on Sunday - you ll hear a closing announcement. It looks really poor when displays are being dismantled when the show is open and there are paying customers in the aisles.

Timeslots
You ve got a 1 hour timeslot, broken down as:
3:30 Friday
2:30 Saturday
11:30 Sunday

"25-30 mins presentation
"10-15 mins Q&A
"10-15 mins - pack-up / next presenter gets ready

Audio-visual Support
There is a clip-on microphone, a 50" TV screen hooked to a laptop for PowerPoint presentations (with the overhead lighting in the hall, projectors on screens don t work). The laptop has a remote, so you can control your slides. We ask that you bring your presentation on a USB or CD. We ll load it on to our laptop and run it from there - swapping computers on and off the projector can lead to connectivity issues.

Tip: keep your slides simple, not too much copy, and try not to read off your slides. Photos are great to tell the story.

If you need video, we can make that work. Email me your requirements and I ll pass it to our AV company. There is no WIFI or internet connection at this presentation area.

Stage Coordinator
The Great Outdoors has a stage manager to assist with AV (calling in the pro s when necessary), introductions, and keeping to the schedule. I m pleased to have our sibling-magazine, Outdoor Canada, involved. Patrick Walsh, Editor, will be with you on Friday, and Bob Sexton, Managing Editor, will be there on Saturday & Sunday. Of course I m at the show from beginning to end and will visit, and can be called over anytime to assist.

Displays & Move-in
If you have a display in the Great Outdoors, please refer to the attached floorplans - one for the whole show, and one specific to the Great Outdoors. I will provide tables and chairs at each location, as well as electrical service. You can move-in anytime after
3:00pm on Thursday, October 25 - the closest door is Drive-In Door 80 (refer to floorplan). If you arrive Friday morning, use the Exhibitor Entrance. Note on Friday that the aisle carpets will be down by then and you cannot take 4-wheeled carts on the carpet (two-wheelers are fine). The Exhibitor Entrance is where you should park Friday-Sunday - please leave the spaces closest to the public entrance open for the show attendees.

Name badges
Please send me a list of anyone working/volunteering for you by Monday, October 15 - a simple email is fine. Badges are available in the Show Office starting Thursday, October 25 onwards. Come early! Don t wait until the hour before show opening because that line-up gets crazy!

Tickets for Friends & Family
In a couple of weeks, you will get an email from me with some e-tickets for your family and friends. Because you are working the show, you do not need a ticket to get in and out. Your name badge will get you in and out each day.

Food & Beverage
There is a snack bar and food retail space at the show. There is an exhibitor lounge that you are welcome to use for a quiet spot off the public floor. Bring a water bottle with you - we have a water cooler at the stage for you.

Sponsor
The Great Outdoors feature area is sponsored by Subaru. They will have two vehicles open for attendees to check out - see the floorplan.

Again, please send me a quick email to confirm your schedule times/titles/name/org. And if you have any questions, give me a call anytime.

We re all looking forward to seeing you soon.

Kind regards
Sharon
