PBK S1 • 2.5 hrs Fly a Trainer

Most likely to take place at in Toronto Weather Link or at Keswick on Lake Simcoe Weather Link.
* Fly a Trainer Kite: For students who have taken PBK S1 Click here for (FTT) Fast Track Training
• Introduction to SnowKiting.
• Basic Safety Rules and Common Sense, Acceptable Behavior
• Terminology & Correct Kite Setup
• Understanding the "Wind Window"
• Gaining control of the kite in the Wind Window, general kite flying, safe launching & landing.

IMPORTANT INFO: We need approx. 10-20km/h to fly the trainer kite for PBK S1
YOU can Start in Fall on the Beach, Oct-Nov-Dec (Before the snow and ice comes) training... See PBK1 for info
PBK S1 is similar to PBK1 for Kiteboarding... then you can take PBK S2-3 on snow when it comes...
Check the forecast TO Weather or Keswick depending on where we will do the lesson, and call when you are available. 2 days notice is best to reserve a time. 24hr notice is more predictable and 2hr notice is possible (This is because weather can change). Those who prepay will be first on the list. PBK S2 may also take place at other locations. All Gear included... Bring payment for lesson Start...

All you need for PBK S1 is provided... Just be prepared for the weather...ALL Kite Gear is included for the lesson. We suggest buying a (Land Foil Trainer Kite) (Above) and practicing about 10hrs before going onto PBK S2. PBK will provide a special link to students to show you what to do with your new trainer to cut the kiteboarding learning curve. Fast Track!

PBK S2 • 3 hrs On Skis-Board

• A well prepared student who has taken PBK1 and flown his trainer many hours
• Flying the Ozone Frenzy FYX 7m & 11m during lessons

*Get set to fly a Larger Kite, more power! : If you are good skier or snowboarder.This may be enough to go on your own. S1-S2 can be done together. Inquire.
You also need to bring your ski or snowboard gear and Helmet. Kites and harnesses are included with the lesson.

• PowerKite training (Very Important: review smaller kite advance to slighly larger kite)
• Introduction to Harness
• Progression to larger Kites and Board or Skis if Ready.
• Combining the Kite and Skis/Board Concept

Snowkiting is all about Weather and Conditions Keep track of Keswick Weather and call when you are available. We typically need a 15-25kph S-SW-W-NW-N wind . 2 days notice is best to reserve a time. 24hr notice is more predictable and 2hr notice is possible as we try to predict the weather for the lesson. Due to popular demand, those who have purchased Snowkting Gear Packages of $1200+ from PBK are first on the list (so they can use there Gear ASAP...) and will save 25% on lessons afterwords. Prepayed lessons are 2nd on the list...

• You will need your own Skis and or Snowboard Gear that you would use on the hill for this lessons. Kites and harnesses will be provided. Bring your helmet and goggles as well.

• Most people that are interested in Snowkiting already Ski or Snowboard. If you have never Skied or Snowboarded, we suggest that you take seperate lessons at a ski resort before taking PBK S2 to get the best value and learn faster.

• If time and weather permits, you can take PBK S1 and PBK S2 in the same session.
