Although PBK1-2 or PBK2-3could be done together. You still need to fly a Trainer (Land Snow Kite) for 20-30 hrs before PBK3 for best results. Kiteboarding is 80% Kite flying. Kiteboarding is a great sport and it helps to cut the learning curve when you focus and take your time.

We cover more Detailed kite flying, that relates to Kiteboarding. The average person flies a trainer on the beach. A PBK Student learns the complexity of specific training for Kiteboarding. There is a lot of theory that is directly related to Kiteboarding safety, weather, choosing a location and learning to understand why we teach you specific maneuvers. We also discuss many aspects of PBK2 and 3 to help blend the 3 levels and cut the Kiteboarding learning curve. We'd rather split up the lessons and even teach one on one to get you going ASAP. We don't want to over-load you, so we like to split up lessons.
Most lessons are ONE on ONE. We don't rush you through in big groups.
The lesson starts when we meet. You can add on to the lesson for $130 hr after 2hrs.

PBK 2 is so detailed with information that we would suggest that you take notes and do your best to stay focused and remember this very important information about safety and self rescue. We know of many kiters that are pushed through lessons but never learn how to do a deep water self rescue (no touching bottom) and miss out on other basic info. We will cover landing and launching theory as well and go over what is coming up for PBK3 while saving the best wind days to get on the water.

PBK3 requires a specific wind-weather day. Since there are only so many good wind days for beginners, we save these days for our Customers that are serious about the sport and want to learn ASAP. The more effort you put in, the more you get back in this sport. PBK has all the Gear you need to Kiteboard or Snowkite... We enjoy supporting Customers and it helps to keep our beaches safer. We feel good about doing our part when we see crazy things going on out there.
Most of the time lessons are ONE on ONE. We don't rush or try to pack groups of kiters together and teach unsafely. It's not safe and you don't learn as fast. We find it's best to learn where you plan to kite and learn on the gear you will be using after the last lesson. (Know your Gear. Kite and safety sytems can be very different.)
Optional Zodiac support for an additional $100. This way you can kite out in Toronto and go for a great down-winder and learn faster. We can teach without the zodiac as well. You'll kite downwind a little and walk back up.

+*This lesson is suited to those who have purchased their Flysurfer Kites from PBK. Foils kites are a little different than LEI's, they are suitable for water and snow and are self inflatable. We have learned allot over the years about foils. The Speed 3 19 Deluxe is the lightest wind, most powerful and efficient Kiteboarding kite in the world and can allows us to ride upwind in as little as 6-8knots along with our Lightwind Board Selection. There is no other kite as easy to handle in light winds with lulls as low at 3knots or so.
